SIERRA NEVADA, SPAIN
Cycling & Yoga Trip
Fancy a cycling and yoga week on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains? We’ll take you cycling in the tranquility of the high mountain range and in the evening we will relax ad recover with yoga for cyclists. I have teamed up with Cormac Keeney of Cycle Sierra Nevada to bring you a fantastic week of road cycling and yoga in Andalusia, Spain. Cormac and his team will guide you on breathtaking and stunning climbs each day. I have designed a yoga course specifically for cyclists to improve flexibility, stability, recovery and injury prevention.
This week long Cycling and Yoga holiday offers fully guided cycles and Yoga for Cyclists classes all from our base, Velez de Benaudalla in Southern Spain. Nestled on the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and only a few kilometres to the Costa Tropical, it is the ideal location for your Cycling and Yoga Week.
All the rides and yoga classes are optional, it is your holiday. If you feel there is too much activity please feel free to take another rest day, skip a class or a spin.
Yoga for Cyclists is on YouTube!
Join me for some short and highly effective Yoga stretches to keep you supple, flexible and injury free. Yoga may be a performance enhancer!

LEVEL OF CYCLIST:
To participate in our camp, a good level of cycling fitness is required. Ideally, your weekly long spin is 3-4 hours long, or 70-100km. The area where we are based is mountainous with lots of challenging climbs. Therefore, most days you will be climbing and descending. However, if you’re used to tackling long rides on the weekends you will enjoy the challenge ahead. It is a cycling holiday after all so a little effort is required! For 2021, we will break the groups into the following categories:
- Advanced – this group will typically cycle around 5 hours per day with at least one major climb each day at a fairly steady pace. Most days will be around 100 kilometres with over 2,000m of climbing.
- Intermediate – a slightly easier pace than the advanced but would tackle a similar route each day to the advanced group. Most days will be around 70 to 100 kilometres with around 1,000m to 2,000m of climbing each day.
- Leisure – as the name suggests this group will take it’s time visiting some of the best cafes and places for lunch that the area has to offer and we will of course throw in a few spectacular climbs along the way.
It’s our aim to cater to our guests needs. This may mean increasing or decreasing the length of the rides to suit the needs/capabilities of our guests. If you have any concerns regarding your suitability please feel free to contact us. The main aim of the week is to go away in better shape than you arrived, challenged, invigorated and have had some fun whilst enjoying the warm sunshine of Southern Europe.
Please be advised that you may be asked to change group.
NON-CYCLISTS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN THE TRIP.
Do you have friend or loved one who would like to come but isn’t a cyclist? No problem at all. They are welcome to come to the Yoga Classes and hang out with us! While the cycles are during the day, evenings are free time so why not go out and explore the area together, enjoy nice meals and some local wine. There is also a free day on the itinerary to spend together. Prices for non cyclists on request.
Check out flight comparison site Skyscanner.net for the best deals on flights from your nearest airport to Malaga International Airport. Flights are currently approximately €130 return from London and Dublin.
If you would prefer to hire a bike rather than bring your own then we have a selection of rental bikes from Specialized and BMC,
